In 2014, a motorist in Regina, Saskatchewan, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and swerved into the group of motorcyclists. Jaki Biesenthal received injuries that would result in the amputation of her left leg above the knee.

In 2019, I partnered with Jaki and Limb Loss Awareness Canada to share her story and the work of the prosthetists and physiotherapists at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre who help recent amputees adjust to life with their new prosthetics.
